I Know I Just Met You, But How Do You Feel About Weddings…

When we first met with Lauren & Ryan, they had us laughing so much as we talked about crashing weddings together. They are like serious wedding people — professional wedding attendees you could say. They told us about the many wedding they had been to together, and now it’s finally their turn. We photographed their engagement session at White Rock Lake on a beautiful spring day. They even rented a canoe for the session, which made for some awesome moments. Check out the preview below that includes snippets of “how they met” and “the proposal.” Enjoy!!!

How They Met - It was a night of celebration! As Lauren came back to the Fairmont Hotel from her friends 25th birthday and Ryan came back to the same hotel from his friends Bachelor party, both groups met on the elevator. After chatting on the elevator the two groups decided it would be fun to meet up and hang out for awhile.

- After hours of talking, and Ryan still did not have a date for the Bachelors wedding, it was brought to his attention that Lauren was an amazing wedding date. So Ryan asked Lauren to be his date for the Bachelors wedding the following weekend, where she gladly accepted and that became their first date.

The Proposal - After Ryan asked Lauren's parents for her hand in marriage over Thanksgiving break, he waited for the perfect opportunity to ask her to marry him. As New Years Eve was approaching, he set up a romantic date at a nice restaurant to set the mood.

- Ryan knew that he and Lauren were going to celebrate New Years Eve with a bash, but little did Lauren know that it would be for their engagement! After eating dinner, they headed back to get ready and meet up with their friends for the New Years celebration
